How can I format source code in Windows Explorer?
Very easy - please click menu 'Configure' --> 'General Options' --> 'Add to context menu', a new item named 'SourceFormatX' will be added to context menu. Then right click the destination source code file in Windows Explorer, select the "SourceFormatX" popup menu item, SourceFormatX will format the code file in the background.
When the formatting process's finished, a ring will be heard. The elapsed time is according to the size and the type of the source code file which processed by SourceFormatX.
Note: Please do not format another code file when SourceFormatX is in its formatting progress.
Can I format a batch of source code files one time?
Yes, of course. But the precondition is your SourceFormatX is the registered version. Registered SourceFormatX can format all source code files which have different file types in the whole directory and sub-directories automatically and rapidly.

How can I invoke SourceFormatX in my favourite IDEs & text editors?
The possibility to integrate SourceFormatX command line into third party software like IDEs and text editors is one of the most valuable features of SourceFormatX series, such as Microsoft Visual C++ 6, Microsoft .NET 7, JCreator, Eclipse, IntelliJ Idea, Oracle JDeveloper, Delphi, C++ Builder, SlickEdit, UltraEdit, TextPad, Editplus, Source Insight, EditPad Pro, ConText, Crimson Editor, AnyEdit, etc...

Can SourceFormatX support HTML, XML, SQL, Perl & Python?
We are working on the full new version that can support these programming languages, HTML, XHTML, XML formatters will be seen in the next major version. If you have new feature request, please submit your request to our technical engineers, thank you.
How to let SourceFormatX ignores some blocks in my files?
You can use Formatting Switch Tags to control it, such as C/C++ formatter, the blocks between the lines marked with comments '//SFX_OFF' and '//SFX_ON' should not be formatted. Want to know more about how to use Formatting Switch Tags please read the SourceFormatX Documentation.
I can't save my customized configuration, why?
This is a bug of vesion 2.xx. Only administrators have the privilege to save (write) the customization settings to the Windows NT registry database, the users who haven't the privilege of registry writing can not save it. This bug has been fixed in 3.xx version.
Why the SourceFormatX cannot work in my computer?
SourceFormatX uses some anti-crack techniques to protect itself from piracy. If some debuggers or spy tools are running, SourceFormatX can't be loaded to memory. Please disable those debuggers and spies then try again.
If the application prompts the file has been infected by virus, maybe the reason is the executable file has been modified by other program or you system has been infected by virus, please using anti-virus software scan your system then reinstall SourceFormatX package.
I have registered this software, but I have lost my registration details - what now?
Please email the full name and the email box that you used for registration to us, we will get it back from our database and resend it to you as soon as possible. You can contact our sales in Contact Us page.
Why my source becomes more messy after formatting?
SourceFormatX bases syntax parser engines and is designed to format the source code which written in syntactically correct languages. So make sure your source code can be compiled correctly before do the code formatting.
Is it possible to run SourceFormatX in Linux or Unix?
No. The current SourceFormatX cannot run in Linux or Unix. But, we are planning to release some new versions for Ubuntu Linux, Red Hat Linux, Turbo Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, Solaris, HP-UX and SCO Unix in the coming future.
Can you offer SourceFormatX as add-ons or plug-ins for our products?
Yes, we would like to integrate SourceFormatX into your IDEs / editors, or have a cross-selling with your products, you can contact us for further questions, thank you.
